With Lockdown #3 now well under way and businesses yet again closed for the umpteenth time, I turned to taking more courses to keep myself occupied. I decided to take a course from Christina Tosi of Milk Bar (the cookie and cake side to Momofuku in Las Vegas, New York, LA, Sydney and Toronto). I learned how to make three signature recipes: crack pie, cornflake marshmallow cookie and birthday cake. Then through her R&D process, I came up with three signature recipes of my own, which was the Danish Christmas Cookie, Italian Dreams Pie, and Chocolate Strawberry Bliss cake
It was fun and delicious, but I missed spending time with my clients all the same. I was recently made aware of a comment on a review board about not knowing if I was available or not during the current state of the world.
If you are a regular client or a past client from 2020, then yes I will see you. I will ask you to fill out the COVID-19 form on my site to ensure continued health and safety for both parties and proper COVID sanitation procedures will be followed. I will also be waiving my cancellation fee policy to encourage you to stay home should you feel ill any time up to our scheduled date.
I will be closing my doors to new clients until the population is fully vaccinated and the stay-at-home order has been lifted. I have had the first shot of AstraZenica and am patiently awaiting the second shot in four months. I am sad that I have to do this, but once the restrictions have lifted I will be able to reopen fully.
I have also restricted any F2MU trips to Canada only at this time. PCR tests and a requirement for an expensive hotel upon my return mean that there is an additional $2,000 overhead and a 2 week mandatory quarantine should I choose to leave the country. I love to travel, and once vaccine passports are implemented, this can be lifted.
